✨ Crate Training

🚨 Puppy Parents, listen up! 🚨

Crate training isn’t just about bedtime—it’s about teaching independence and confidence. 💪

👉 Puppies need to learn that their crate is a safe space, not just for sleeping at night but also for naps during the day. This helps them get used to both separation and being in a smaller space, rather than relying on an X-pen or bathroom confinement. Being alone and out of sight is a really big deal at this stage!

Here’s the tough love part: if you always let your pup out the second they cry, you’re actually feeding separation anxiety. 😬 Puppies are smart—smarter than we give them credit for! If they learn crying = freedom, they’ll keep at it.

✅ Before crating, make sure all their needs are met: food, water, potty break, and some exercise/playtime. Once that’s done, it’s perfectly okay for them to whine, fuss, or even throw a little tantrum in their crate. They need to work through it to build resilience and learn they’re safe even when they’re not being catered to.

Remember: this stage can make or break their future confidence. Be consistent, be firm, and know that as long as their needs are met, a little crate protest is totally normal—and temporary! 🐶💤
